US 8th In Team Tech At FINA Junior Worlds

BUDAPEST – The U.S. Junior National Team finished eighth in team tech Friday at the FINA World Junior Artistic Swimming Championships.

Team USA scored 82.9434 points in the final. Russia won gold with 92.7347 points, followed by Ukraine (90.3331) and Japan (89.0176).

"They had a very good swim, full of energy," U.S. National Team Coach Lolli Montico said. "We have improved our ranking from the last World Championships."

Swimming in the team tech final for the U.S. were: Grace Alwan (Andover, Mass.), Yara Elian (Walnut Creek, Calif.), Nicole Goot (San Jose, Calif.), Hannah Heffernan (Las Vegas, Nev.), Cassandra Neeley (Williamsville, N.Y.), Ruby Remati (Andover, Mass.), Abby Remmers (Sugar Land, Texas) and Emmanuella Tchakmakjian (New Canaan, Conn.).

The U.S. will compete in the team free event on Saturday. The championships are being live streamed at https://www.finatv.live/.
