The Women’s Sports Foundation recently awarded a $6,000 grant to the U.S. National Synchronized Swimming Team, which helped with the financing of the team for a training camp in Malta ahead of last month’s FINA World Championships.

In total, the Women’s Sports Foundation has awarded $78,000 to 15 athletes and five teams, in 17 sports and across 12 states this year through its Travel & Training Fund program. With many athletes training for the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympic and Paralympic Games, World Championships and more, the Travel & Training Fund helps fuel the athletic dreams of athletes, and is generously supported by WSF National Partner Gatorade.

Founded in 1974 by tennis legend Billie Jean King, the Women’s Sports Foundation is dedicated to creating leaders by ensuring all girls access to sports.
