US 13-15 Team In 4th Place at Mediterranean Cup

NETANYA, Israel – The U.S. 13-15 National Team is in fourth place after the team prelims of the Mediterranean Cup.

Team USA scored 79.2000 in Thursday’s prelims. Russia leads with 84.8667 points, followed by Ukraine (83.0000) and Spain (81.8000). The final is set for Saturday.

The U.S. squad competing in the team event is comprised of: Hailee Heinrich (Santa Clara Aquamaids), Andrea Percic (MAC Synchro), Kaitlyn Hoang (Santa Clara Aquamaids),Chesnie Cheung (Santa Clara Aquamaids), Nicole Goot (Santa Clara Aquamaids), Audrey Nguyen (Santa Clara Aquamaids), Aivan Nguyen (La Mirada Aquabelles) and Emmanuella Tchakmakjian (New Canaan Y Aquianas), Hannah Heffernan (Santa Clara Aquamaids) and Aspen Smith (Arizona Desert Dolphins).

Team USA’s Hailee Heinrich (Santa Clara Aquamaids) and Andrea Percic (MAC Synchro) are in fifth place in duet, having scored 79.3000 in Friday’s prelims. Lindi Schroeder (Optima Synchro) is tied for seventh after the solo prelims. She scored 78.4000 points on Thursday. Both the duet and solo finals are Sunday.

Swimmers from 27 countries are taking part in the Mediterranean Cup, one of the premier events for synchro swimmers ages 13 to 15.
