2019 Junior Women's National Team Open Tryouts

Date: December 28, 2018

Location: Eddie C. Moore Softball Complex - Clearwater, Fla.

Application Deadline: Closed

Cost: USA Softball-registered athletes: $100, Non-USA Softball-registered athletes: $115.  Cost includes a participant t-shirt, visor and skills station evaluation.

What does the tryout consist of: The open tryout will involve a series of softball related skill drills for each position, hitting and bunting. 

Who is eligible: Any female United States citizen born in 2000, 2001 or 2002 and who can commit to the necessary training time in the June, July, and August period is eligible.

Travel: Athletes are responsible for their own travel to Clearwater and to the tryouts.

Equipment and meals: Athletes are responsible for their own equipment and meals.

Advancing to the Selection Camp: A select number of athletes could be invited to participate at the Junior Women's National Team Selection Camp and then will have their expenses paid for by USA Softball.

Are Open Tryouts available to the public: Yes, parents/families/friends/fans may attend the Open Tryout.  Information on seating and permissible areas will be provided at the Eddie C. Moore Softball Complex.
