Hello everyone! As you know your Women’s and Junior USA Softball team is back in action! This past week has been training camp and both teams have been training to win a Gold Medal! We started practicing on Monday throughout this whole week. We also have been doing scrimmages against other teams around the area.

Each morning we start at 8:30 a.m. until noon. After that, both teams have lunch together and then we are on a break for a few hours. To conclude our evening we then have another few hours of practicing. The cool part about practicing at the same facility as the Women’s team is that we get to practice with them at times. They are so much fun to be around, they all have great personalities along with the Junior Team. They all teach us so much.

The early mornings and late nights are tiring, but we do learn to manage our time and take care of our body. Our trainer, Katie Davis, is awesome!  She is always helping the girls out if we are sore or if we feel out of place. Our coaches are characters! They make practice so much fun but also competitive. My teammates are amazing, each of these girls are absolute studs, and they are fun to play with.

This experience has been so amazing and there isn’t one second that we take for granted. Each of these girls are so much fun to be around and they make it that much better. We even got to play the Women’s Team on Thursday night, which was a lot of fun. We worked on different situations and we got a lot of work done in that game.

It was cool because I had the chance to play against my sister. I have never played against her before, only with her. So that was definitely a memory I will never forget. On Friday, we went down to Bricktown in Oklahoma City and watched the Dodgers Minor League team play. That was extremely fun because we got to bond with our team and watch some baseball.

In a few days, we will be headed off to Houston to play some more games and practice. Like I said we are training to win a Gold medal. I am excited to see what this team can do. There are so many talented girls on this team and it is going to be so fun to see how far we go. Thank you guys for reading, make sure to stay tuned and see how your Junior and Women’s USA Softball team is doing!

Go Eagles!
