There are two committees that select players to compete on USA Softball National Teams – Men’s National Team Selection Committee and the Women’s National Team Selection Committee. These committees work tirelessly throughout the year scouting events across the country in search of the top athletes for national team selection. Committee members can be found at USA Softball tournaments, USA Softball National Championships, NCAA tournaments, NCAA Women’s College World Series and many other events.

Once committee members identify potential national team players, these individuals may be invited to participate in tryout camps and from those camps they are selected to represent the United States in international competitions.

The best way to be noticed by members of the selection committees is to compete in high level USA Softball tournaments and USA Softball National Championships if you are not currently playing at the collegiate level.

They have inspired thousands of today’s youth to be active and participate in one of the nation’s top pastimes, softball. As ambassadors of the sport, the USA Softball National Teams travel all around the world representing the United States of America. Help support this team by donating to the National Team Endowment Fund or joining the USA Softball Legacy Club to keep our athletes in the Red, White and Blue! These donations will help offset costs related to the training and travel.

USA Softball Legacy Club

The USA Softball Legacy Club provides immediate financial support to USA Softball National Team programs and athletes through annual membership giving. These contributions assist in supporting costs associated with training teams for international play and travel for competition. Legacy Club members are friends, alumni and advocates of USA Softball who recognize the value of continuing the Legacy established by those in the past who have worn the Red, White and Blue.

USA Softball Endowment Fund

The USA Softball Endowment Fund was established to create a steady funding stream that builds over time - as the funds grow so does the annual support to the National Team Programs.  There are four separate categories in which contributions can be made: Women's, Men's, Junior Women's and Junior Men's.
