1. Enjoy 7,000 acres of rolling, wooded terrain at Croft State Park, just a few miles from downtown Spartanburg.Croft offers 12 miles of biking and hiking trails, a playground, picnicking and camping, as well as fishing and boating in one of two lakes. 2. Watch the NFL's Carolina Panthers Training Camp practices at Wofford College (July-August.)

3. Tour the Chapman Cultural Center in downtown Spartanburg for three museums in one stop: history, art and science. Check the calendar to catch one of nearly 300+ events held there during the year.

4. Rent a bike at Spartanburg BCycle the first bike sharing system in the Southeast. There are 40 bikes at five self-service bike rental stations (BCycle Stations) on the Rail Trail, in Morgan Square, at Wofford and Converse Colleges and at Harvest Park.

5. Or hold on tight to the wheel as you test your driving skills at the BMW Performance Center, just across the street from the BMW manufacturing facility – home of the Spartanburg-made X3, X4, X5 and X6 vehicles. 

6. If it's Thursday in Spartanburg, listen to a live band at Music on Main (April-August); on Friday nights, groove to Jazz on the Square at Morgan Square. (April-May/September-October.) On the third Thursday each month, join the Art Walk in downtown Spartanburg to tour local galleries and meet local artists. 

7. Savor the Redneck Burger at the Nu-Way Restaurant and Lounge, chosen by the Food Network as Best Burger in South Carolina, and featured in Garden and Gun Magazine. Eat a chili-cheeseburger-a-plenty at the world-famous Beacon Drive-In and get some real Southern sweet tea.

8. Like craft beer? There are more than 50 taps between Growler Haus and Hub City Tap House. Or tour Spartanburg’s own RJ Rocker's Brewing Company every Thursday through Saturday, where they’ve been making great craft beer for almost 20 years.

9. Test your disc golf skills at one of seven courses: Tyger River Park, Holston Creek Park, Va-Du-Mar McMillan Park, Wofford College, Century Park, Old Canaan Road Park or USC Upstate.

10. Learn all about our amazing musical heritage on the Music Trail in downtown Spartanburg. Take your phone and listen to music samples along the way.
