Feb. 23, 2023, 10:14 a.m. (ET)

OKLAHOMA CITY – USA Softball, the National Governing Body of Softball in the United States, is proud to announce a U-23 Men’s National Team (MNT) roster set to compete in a series of exhibition contests against the U-23 Canada roster slated for April 8-11, 2023. Held at the Jackie Robinson Training Complex (JRTC) in Vero Beach, Fla., the U.S. MNT will look to build its resume of international competition throughout the four-day span thanks to funds raised by the U-23 Men’s National Team program throughout the last three years.

The 15-player roster marks the first U-23 MNT program in USA Softball history with five members joining Team USA for the first time in their careers while 10 veterans return to the Red, White and Blue after competing in previous seasons. At the helm of the U.S. roster will be previously announced head coach Tim Lyon, marking his seventh stint as head coach for the Men’s National Team program. Lyon will be joined by assistant coaches Tommy Crouch, Mike Hopkins and Chase Turner who each step into their first season on a U.S. MNT coaching staff.

Athletes selected to the U-23 MNT are part of the USA Softball athlete pool, having attended previous softball camps and clinics, league softball events and/or attended events coordinated by USA Softball.

The full schedule of the exhibition games will be announced at a later date.
