OKLAHOMA CITY – USA Softball, the National Governing Body of Softball in the United States, is proud to announce staffing promotions and hires to the National Office. Joining the National Office in the Stadium Operations Manager role is Jake Magness (Catoosa, Okla.) while Ashtyn Crouch (Edmond, Okla.) comes aboard as the Merchandise Manager Specialist. Additionally, Ashlea Nash (Gas City, Ind.) transitions from the Marketing Manager role to Managing Director of Sport Development while Jay Hedrick (Moore, Okla.), Devin Loehrs (Edmond, Okla.) and Kyle Maddux (Midwest City, Okla.) have been promoted to Managing Director of Network Systems, Director of Information Technology and Facility Maintenance Manager, respectfully.
Jake Magness joins the USA Softball National Office as the Stadium Operations Manager and will assume the responsibilities of facility and event operations, guest services, concession operations and environmental sustainability at the USA Softball Hall of Fame Complex. Previously serving as the Operations Coordinator for the Oklahoma City Dodgers for the past three years, Magness is well-versed in facility upkeep as well as in the development and construction of operational budgets. While working for the Dodgers, he also assisted in developing and implementing maintenance schedules, emergency procedures and safety policies for the ballpark while overseeing the gameday and maintenance staff as well as interns and seasonal assistants to ensure smooth operating procedures and a healthy work environment. Magness graduated from Mid-America Christian University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration before receiving a master’s degree from Southern Nazarene University in Sports Management and Administration.

My history and experience in operating a facility along with my passion of the sport industry is what drives me to be the successful leader I am today. Also joining the USA Softball National Office as a full-time staff member is Ashtyn Crouch who will serve as the Merchandise Manager Specialist. In this role, Crouch will create, plan, organize and execute all inventory and website functions related to umpire equipment sales through ASA Properties Inc. as well as inventory support for USA Softball’s gift shop and online store. Most recently working as an Office Manager Assistant and Marketing Coordinator for 4G Concrete, Inc., Crouch is knowledgeable in logging expenses and website maintenance as well as social media promotion. Additionally, she garners over five years of direct retail experience including sales floor management, floor sets, planograms, and product displays as a former Sales Associate/Team Lead for Bath and Body Works. Crouch earned a bachelor’s degree in Marketing with a minor in Professional Selling from the University of Central Oklahoma where she was also a member of Sigma Kappa and held multiple leadership positions around campus.

I am so excited to continue my career here and watch myself grow throughout this organization.”
After serving as the Marketing Manager for USA Softball since April 2021, Ashlea Nash steps into the role of Managing Director of Sport Development where she will work with USA Softball Local Associations as well as Major League Baseball (MLB) to create resources, initiatives and events in effort to grow the sport across the U.S. Prior to her time at USA Softball, Nash spent four years working for Little League Baseball & Softball managing day-to-day operations, customer service, compliance aspects and Regional educational training events and tournaments while serving as Assistant Central Region Director (2017-2020) and Central Region Director (2020-2021). Nash also has experience as Marketing and Project Coordinator for Vision Event Management where she assisted in various marketing and event coordination responsibilities. A member of the Manchester University softball program, Nash graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sport management and communication studies.
“I am extremely fortunate to move into this role within USA Softball,” said Nash. “I’m excited to showcase my passion for the game through the development department at the National Office. I’m looking forward to working with our partners, commissioners, and other youth entities throughout the country to continue to develop and grow the game of softball.”
