OKLAHOMA CITY – USA Softball, a volunteer-driven, not-for-profit organization announced today that Michael Warner (Toms River, N.J.) has been appointed as Commissioner for USA Softball of New York City. Warner transitions into this position following the retirement of Commissioner Glen Payne.

“I am excited for the opportunity to work as Commissioner while getting back to the basics and bringing back the grassroots program in New York City,” said Warner. “New York City is full of proud individuals who still love the great game of softball and I’m looking forward to meeting each and every one of them. Our journey here has just begun, and I cannot wait to see what the future holds.”

He has sent over 100 teams to National Championships and Regionals as a coach/director while also teaching youth hitting clinics and catching courses.

Outside of USA Softball, Warner has served as the Independent Sports Association (ISA) New Jersey Commissioner as well as a player representative for Wilson and DeMarini. He graduated from the College of New Jersey with a degree in Sports Science.
