USA Softball of Arizona umpire, Xavier Bush, has made his umpire program proud. While not from Colorado, Bush has made his way up to quite a few of the USA Softball of Colorado tournaments and is always calm on the field while poised with the girls and the coaches. He brings joy and fun to every game, and we’re so happy he travels from Phoenix to assist with USA Softball tournaments in Colorado.

The umpire crew at the USA Softball Girls’ Class A 18-Under Northern Fast Pitch National Championship in Nevada, Iowa featured an umpire crew with many years of experience and was anchored by Ed Murphy, Championship Umpire-In-Chief (UIC).

USA Softball umpires Dan Miller and Kyle Foley discussing illegal pitches and rotation duties in their matching dark blue uniforms at the USA Softball Girls’ Class A 18-Under Northern Fast Pitch National Championship. The umpire crew was able to keep games moving all weekend with the stopwatch, and the teams were very cooperative.

USA Softball umpires Scott Baptist, Twanda “T” Moore, and Chris Clark called the semi-final game at the 2021 USA Softball Girls’ Class A 18-Under Northern Fast Pitch National Championship in Nevada, Iowa. Communication from this squad was exceptional and they gave the teams a solid output.  

In the second photo, "T" makes a stellar call at second base during the semi-final game. Her timing was great and her mechanics were beautiful. Upon further review from the third base side, "T" made a perfect call.  

"T" and Baptist, pictured in the third photo, are seen discussing the rules before a game while enjoying the friendships and connections that made this tournament so fun.

Veteran umpires from USA Softball of Nebraska Chris Clark and Sean Loving were among the crew at the 2021 USA Softball Girls’ Class A 18-Under Northern Fast Pitch National Championship. Clark and Loving are both active in calling slow-pitch games as well as Junior Olympic (JO) fast pitch games.

USA Softball of Nebraska umpire Brian Bruggeman helps with bat checks at the 2021 USA Softball Girls’ JO Slow Pitch National Championships in Watertown, South Dakota. Bruggeman is a veteran umpire who has worked the Men’s Super Slow Pitch and Men’s Class AA Slow Pitch National Championships in past years.

Tim Watts, USA Softball of Nebraska UIC, worked the 2021 USA Softball Girls’ JO Slow Pitch National Championships in Watertown, South Dakota. Watts is a veteran umpire who has worked the highest levels of USA Softball Men’s Slow Pitch throughout the years.
