Allison Flaig joins USA Softball National Office as Chief of Staff

OKLAHOMA CITY — USA Softball, the National Governing Body of Softball in the United States, has announced the hiring of Allison Flaig (Placentia, Calif.) as the Chief of Staff for the USA Softball National Office. In her position, Flaig will serve as a strategic advisor to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and senior management team while playing a key role in productivity, streamlining strategic initiatives, overseeing program management, and communicating objectives between departments. 

 

“I am thrilled to be joining USA Softball at an exciting and pivotal time for our sport,” said Flaig. “Sports have long been a passion of mine, so I’m honored to be a part of an organization that has had a considerable impact on myself and my family over the years and I look forward to working with the National Office staff.”

 

Flaig joins USA Softball with an impressive educational resume, garnering both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in English from California State University, Fullerton as well as an MBA from Chapman University. She also possesses almost nine years of experience working in admissions in higher education with proven skills in strategic planning, policy creation, and program execution. Flaig most recently served as the Director of Admission and Diversity Initiatives in the Dale E. Fowler School of Law at Chapman University where she developed marketing materials, reviewed applications from prospective students, and planned and executed events focused on admitted students. Additionally, Flaig’s knowledge and passion for the game extends to the softball field as a former high school softball coach. 

 

While working as the Chief of Staff for USA Softball, Flaig will take on many responsibilities, including representing and supporting the CEO in meetings, emails, and phone calls with internal and external stakeholders. She will also maintain accurate confidential files and data records, as well as assist in research, planning, and decision-making when it comes to strategy and procedures.
