Previous GOLD Nationals Experience: 2020 USA Softball GOLD Nationals 16U- Finished 25th.
What year was the team/organization founded: "Red Heat was established by Steve Reynolds in the late 80's."
How long the team has been together: The team was formed in 2013. Six members have played together for five-eight years and nine members have played together for one-two years.
Noteworthy events and recent tournaments: 2021 AFA Southwestern National- Champions, 2019-21 Gold National Qualifier- Champions, 2019 16A State- Champions, 2020 16 Gold Nationals, Multiple Triple Crown Showcases, PGF Early Thanksgiving Showcase, and USA Preps Showcases.
Returning players from 2020: 11.
What are some of the strengths your team will bring this season: "We feed off one another's energy and have a great team atmosphere. We are supportive, have great team chemistry all around, and are dedicated. We play together as a whole and have three strong pitchers. We believe that as long as there is an out left in a game we still have a chance to win."
What is a primary focus your team has as you prepare for the 2021 GOLD Nationals: "Our primary focus is to continue to have fun while we prepare for the great competition we will see in Virginia."
Why do you like playing USA Softball and participating in the GOLD Nationals: "The opportunities that USA Softball have provided for our team locally and nationally have been phenomenal. I have been able to watch this team blossom from a new 10U team to a competitive 18U Gold team. USA Softball provided us with all the opportunities we needed as we grew and matured. GOLD Nationals was on our target list the last two years and we can't wait to get to Virginia to have the opportunity to face some of the best teams from all over the country."
