USA Softball, the National Governing Body of Softball in the United States, seeks applicants for the position of Marketing/Communications Coordinator. This is a full-time position at the National Office in Oklahoma City, Okla.

USA Softball Marketing/Communications Coordinator
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Communications/Marketing
- Perform as staff photographer at USA Softball events, including Grassroots and National Team coverage, the USA Softball Annual Meeting and USA Softball Hall of Fame Complex events
- Create video content for USASoftball.com and USA Softball social media that strategically highlights USA Softball and its mission
- Ability to work independently and produce video content for a wide range of projects within the USA Softball organization
- Assist in overall media strategy as it relates to multimedia production, including but not limited to, print material, web material, video, presentations, commercials and interactive media
- Collaborate with Marketing and Communications departments on preparing scripts for video content to align with overall media strategies and goals
- Serve as project lead throughout the project lifecycle for a variety of photo and video projects. This includes conceptualizing, producing, shooting, editing, revisions and post-production
- Assist the Marketing and Communications department with graphic design, including content creation for eblasts, social media and website content
- Coordinate with Marketing and Communications department on USA Softball digital publications, including the “Inside Pitch”, “Balls and Strikes Online Magazine”, media guides and other productions
- Assist the Marketing department in licensing and branding to help maintain USA Softball guidelines
- Collaborate with Marketing and Communications to increase awareness for USA Softball through various media channels
- Research and help implement new technologies and equipment for USA Softball, including live event streaming, video blogs and instructional content
- Maintain a searchable archive of B-Roll, audio files and photos for USA Softball archives
- Help determine strategic placement of media on traditional and new media platforms
- Perform as-needed as an on-air host or reporter for selected projects
- Assist the Marketing and Communications Managers on projects such as press releases, writing relevant stories, collaboration with sponsors, etc.
Grassroots Programs
- Act as the lead on USA Softball grassroots content, creating marketing materials to promote USA Softball across all 50 states
- Cover USA Softball grassroots events ranging from select travel tournaments to National Championship play and produce recaps, highlight clips and other promotional items
- Work with National Championship and tournament directors on establishing live streaming of USA Softball events
Umpire Program
- Assist Director of Umpires with educational videos and graphics to cover umpire training and mechanics
- Produce a monthly “Umpire Mechanics” in video format that covers popular topics in the umpire community
- Produce Certified Equipment and other educational video tutorials for USA Softball tournament officials and administrators
USA Softball Hall of Fame Complex
- Assist with coverage for USA Softball Hall of Fame Complex events, including photos, video recaps and highlights from events
- Coordinate live-streaming for USA Softball Hall of Fame Complex events, including tech support for event staff
National Teams/International Events
- Assist with coverage for USA Softball National Team events, including photos, player interviews and highlight reels
- Create instructional videos and tutorials with National Team athletes that can be utilized in USA Softball’s educational resources, mobile apps, social media and website

Required or Desired Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Marketing and/or Communications or a related field
- This is an entry level position
- Internship experience preferred
- Excellent organizational focus and attention to detail
- Strong understanding of marketing and communications concepts and strategies
- Photoshop, Graphic Design software’s, ability to create graphics preferred
- Clear, concise and effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to be a self-starter as well as work in team environment to assist the Marketing and Communications Departments in providing quality customer service.
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work some weekends and travel domestically
- Works effectively and quickly in a dynamic environment
- Ability to lift heavy packages and work outside for event setup
- Eager to learn in an ever-changing industry
