Region 1 |

Lou Urso, USA Softball of Connecticut, has been a registered USA Softball umpire since 1981.Urso has umpired in three National Championships and is a member of the National Indicator Fraternity. He has also umpired in many Connecticut High School Championships throughout his career. Additionally, Urso served his country in Vietnam (1965-1968) while being awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star.

Region 1 |

Patrick Elias, USA Softball of Connecticut, began his umpiring career in New Jersey with long-time Commissioner, Leo Spirito. After graduating from college, Elias continued his umpiring career in Vermont and has since been a part of two National Championships, the 1988 Women’s Major Slow Pitch and the 2019 Girls’ 12-Under Class B Eastern National Championships.


Region 3 |

Ryan Fowler is a USA Softball of South Carolina umpire from Spartanburg, S.C. He is a current Senior at Wofford College where he studies chemistry and business. Fowler spends most of his summer weekends on the softball field, umpiring close to 100 games each year. He has always enjoyed the game and believes that umpiring is the best way for him to stay involved in the game

Region 7 |

Terry Reed has been a USA Softball of Colorado umpire for 34 years. He has earned the Bronze, Silver and Gold levels of USA Softball umpiring and is a member of the National Indicator Fraternity. In addition to USA Softball, Reed is a veteran member of the Colorado High School Sports Association. His passion and commitment for the game shows every day and has influenced many of his fellow umpires.
