Region 2 | Eric Shroyer, USA Softball of Ohio, has been umpiring since 1981. During his softball career he has helped his district grow its umpire pool by over 300%. He has served as a district UIC and district commissioner. He was also instrumental in forming the Logan County Girls Youth program and has served as a trainer and mentor for umpires. He has worked several high-end tournaments during his 39 years but his goal is helping others, and he has certainly done that during his USA Softball career. |

Anthony Bright is from Birmingham, Ala. Anthony has been registered as a USA Softball of Alabama umpire for 15 years and has worked three USA Softball National Championships. |

Region 6 |
Art Serafinski, USA Softball of Michigan, with his wife Cathy and daughters - Rachel and Kristen. Serafinski passed away April 20, 2020 due to complications from COVID-19. He was a tremendous contributor to the softball program in his state, serving as a District Commissioner for 27 years and on the USA Softball of Michigan Executive Committee for 11 years including a term as President. He also served as a registered umpire for 31 years. Serafinski umpired in three Slow Pitch National Championships, is a member of the National Indicator Fraternity, and was inducted into the USA Softball of Michigan Hall of Fame this past January. He embodied the spirit of our great game and displayed the dedication, commitment, work ethic and heart that it took to be one of the greats of USA Softball in Michigan. He is gone but will always be remembered.

Dana Carlson from Sioux Falls, S.D. has been a USA Softball of South Dakota umpire for four years. Dana became an umpire after retiring from playing as a way to stay connected with the game. Dana has attended a National Umpire School and worked the 2019 JO Girl's Slow Pitch National Championship. |

Region 8 | Max Mitchell has been a USA Softball of Wisconsin umpire for five years. Mitchell graduated from Ellsworth High School with honors this year. His ultimate goal is to umpire a championship game with his father, Wisconsin’s recent State Hall of Fame inductee, Chad Mitchell. |

Region 10 | USA Softball of Southern California would like to acknowledge Bart Zebold. Standing at over 6'4", he still strives to utilize the proper book mechanics for even the smallest of players. Zebold has an extensive knowledge of rules for all ages of play and is a pleasure to have in our SoCal organization. |

Region 10 | Although Craig Watkins is an identical twin, he stands out in the USA Softball of Southern California organization by being well-versed in both the fast pitch and slow pitch games. Craig made a push toward the fast pitch game once his eldest daughter started playing softball. SoCal appreciates his dedication to the youth game. |

Region 10 | It is with a heavy heart, USA Softball of Southern California recognizes Amber Assmann of Lake Elsinore, Calif. Assmann was an up-and-coming member umpire with "one of the purest hearts and badest attitudes." Her infectious smile and appreciation for the all things big and small will be missed but always remembered. Assmann was so special and will not be forgotten. May she rest in peace.
