Region 3 |

Jamie Gillian is a member of USA Softball of South Carolina. He started his career in 1997 as an ASA Certified Umpire. He has worked 18 State Championship assignments and seven Regional Assignments for the National Federation. He has worked numerous USA Softball tournaments including three Atlanta Legacy Showcase Events.

Region 5 |

Rogers “Steve” Matthews, USA Softball of San Antonio, is a 22-year veteran of USA Softball and has worked two USA Softball National Fast Pitch Championships. He is an active umpire working college, high school, and USA Softball to the tune of 155 games a year. An Air Force retiree, he had previously umpired games in Alaska, Guam, Japan and Germany before settling in San Antonio. He is a good mentor to junior umpires. He has officiated basketball, soccer, and baseball. He enjoys fishing in his spare time.


Region 5 |

Nelson Trent, USA Softball of Texas, has been a USA Softball umpire since 2001. He is a member of Little league, TTAB, TTAS, TASO High School Softball and TASO High School Volleyball. Nelson joined the U.S Army on April 10, 1981. In his 24-year career in the Army, he served two tours in Kosovo and Bosnia, three tours in Germany during the Cold war, one tour in Korea and three state side tours. He settled down with his family in Killeen, Texas and is a proud member of USA Softball.

 

  Region 5 |

Glenn Kell is a Deputy Umpire-in-Chief for USA Softball of Houston.  Glenn has written the training program for USA Softball of Houston umpires, and has also served as the Player Rep for the USA Softball Men's 60+ Senior National Championship. He has umpired several National Championship Tournaments and has been nominated this year for his Elite status.

 

Region 5 |

John Scott is the USA Softball of Houston Fast Pitch Umpire-in-Chief. John has called the USA Softball Men’s 60+ National Championship three times, in addition to being the UIC and Assistant UIC for the USA Softball Men’s 60+ National Championship.

 

Region 7 |

Michael Collins, USA Softball of St. Louis, is a veteran umpire who works a lot each season. He’s attended USA Softball’s National Umpire School and umpired a couple territory championships with very good success, but locally, he’s the guy who is always early, has a warm smile, and is willing to "help get’r done"!  He’s also a member of the Silver Level Medals program, and USA Softball of St. Louis is proud to have Michael as a member.

   

Region 7 |

Norvin Porter, USA Softball of St. Louis, has been a member umpire of USA Softball for 42 years.  Norvin focuses on the game of Fast Pitch, umpiring both the girls' and men’s game. He has umpired several national championships over the years, but his true love seems to lie in being around the men’s tournaments held in the Midwest. He is a member of the National Indicator Fraternity and is a Gold Level Member. USA Softball of St. Louis is proud to have Norvin as a member.

   

Region 7 |

John Metzger has been umpiring USA Softball for over 45 years. He has umpired Slow Pitch and Fast Pitch, and has been a UIC and assigner in both divisions of play. John is a veteran in the Colorado High School Sports Association, and he has been selected to work the plate on the Colorado State Championship Game twice in his career. He is a great mentor to younger umpires and has earned the nickname “Mello” because of the way he defuses controversy on the field.

   

Region 7 |

Marc Oddo, USA Softball of Colorado, has been umpiring USA Softball for the past three years. USA Softball of Colorado and the Colorado High School Sports Association have both named Marc “Rookie of the Year” after his first year of umpiring. Constantly trying to improve, Marc asks any umpire if they are willing to share about how to improve upon his umpiring skills.
