September Blues Across America

Region 1 | Jim Seale is a long-standing USA Softball of New Hampshire umpire who is always willing to help with any tournament at any level of play. In addition to Jim’s enjoyment of umpiring, he is also very passionate about his kids and grandchildren. His ability to balance umpiring and his family is second to none.

Region 1 | Steve Kolitz (far right) and Lisa Dilullo (fourth from left) of USA Softball of Connecticut were a part of a volunteer team who traveled to Puerto Rico to assist in aiding hurricane victims and their homes. The team worked to repair and paint walls, replace doors, and help with any other tasks that were helpful to the community.

Region 7 | Tom Browne and Colleen Adams (pictured here) prepped and ready to umpire a Championship game in a local tournament. Tom worked the 18-Under A National Championship this year in Montgomery, Ala., and Colleen worked the 16-Under A National Championship in Salem, Va.


Region 7 | Randy Griffon, USA Softball of St. Louis, is a Bronze Level umpire who works both fast and slow pitch throughout the summer. He puts his time into attending clinics and breakouts in the spring and has also attended a USA Softball National Umpire School.  He recently umpired his third USA Softball National Championship and was assigned the plate umpire for the Championship game. USA Softball of St. Louis is proud to have Randy as a member.
Region 7 | Bob Nicholas, USA Softball of St. Louis, is a Gold Level umpire who primarily umpires fast pitch but is always willing to help with slow pitch games if he is asked and for charity events. He’s been a part of our program for 20 years while attending several National Umpire Schools as well as umpiring various Junior Olympic (JO) National Championships. USA Softball of St. Louis is proud to have Bob as a member.


Region 7 | Paul Browne, USA Softball of St. Louis, is a veteran umpire of 11 years and is a Bronze Level umpire. He umpires slow pitch all summer long in various leagues around the metro area. Browne always has a smile on his face while umpiring and truly enjoys the activity and interaction with the players! USA Softball of St. Louis is proud to have Paul as a member.



Region 7 | Mick Cohen, USA Softball of St Louis, is a Gold Medal umpire.

Cohen helps umpire at the Pushing Hope Annual Marine Industry Charity Tournament, which started in the early 1980’s and has raised over 1.5 million dollars for charitable causes. After 12 years of umpiring, Mick is most known for his leadership with the annual Junior Olympic (JO) Illinois vs Missouri All Star Game, in which he was the brainchild for its development. USA Softball of St. Louis is proud to have Mick as a member.

Region 9 | Joe Martin, a District Umpire-in-Chief and Gold Medal umpire from Woodinville, Wash., continues to help his umpires grow and succeed in their umpiring careers.

 


Region 9 | Kira Comfort, Jerry Forkner, Jim Everett, Harvey Hendricks, Kim Muter, Mike Bisconner, Kelley Kaloi, Jered Mattson, Kaitlynn Haskins (Canadian Umpire) proudly volunteered their time to umpire the Special Olympics of Washington State Tournament. Region 9 is proud to have them as USA Softball umpires.

Region 9 | Andrew Struthers is a seven-year umpire from Corvallis, Ore. When Struthers is not umpiring, he spends his time as an IT Consultant for Oregon State University as well as a Corvallis City Council Member.
