USA Softball JO Cup Team Preview: Turnin 2 16U

As we near the start of the 2019 USA Softball Junior Olympic (JO) Cup, we're highlighting some of the teams who will take to the fields in Spartanburg, S.C. to compete.

Meet the MI Turnin 2, a team competing in the 16-Under division. Based out of Michigan, Head Coach Ron Pezzonni breaks down what you can expect to see from his 2019 roster in Spartanburg.

How long the team has been together: The team has been together for two years.

Noteworthy events and finishes in recent tournaments: 2018 Triple Crown Nationals - 18th; Outlaws Fall Invitational - 1st. 

Returning players from 2018: Six players returning from the 2018 season.

What are some of the strengths your team will bring this season: We have a very athletic team with a good balance of speed and power hitting.

What is a primary focus your team has as you prepare for the 2019 JO Cup: Show up and compete! We are looking forward to the opportunity to compete against the best teams in the country and showcase the talent of our team.

What they look forward to seeing at the 2019 JO Cup: It's a great opportunity for our girls to represent themselves and our organization on a National scale. We appreciate all the hard work that the JO Cup committee does in advance to make this a special event. From securing great fields to play on as well as making sure we are competing against the best of the best that our sport has to offer. Super excited to be back!!
