Kelly Barnhill - Florida - Junior - Pitcher
Kelly Barnhill saw her first action at the 2018 NCAA WCWS after getting the start in Florida's 6-5 loss to UCLA. Barnhill breezed through the Bruin lineup through four innings of play before the Bruins put up a five-run fifth inning. Barnhill finished with 13 strikeouts and three hits and one earned run in seven innings of work.
Sis Bates - Washington - Sophomore - Infield
Sis Bates was electric on defense as the Washington Huskies continued their upset streak by defeating the No. 1 seed Oregon Ducks 6-2. Bates, who also went 1-for-3 with one RBI, now has a six-game hitting streak.
Rachel Garcia - UCLA - Sophomore - Pitcher
Rachel Garcia got the complete-game win as she helped propel the UCLA Bruins to a 6-5 win over the No. 2 seed Florida Gators. Garcia, who had another 15-strikeout performance in the circle, also reached base on a walk in the win.
Megan Kleist - Oregon - Junior - Pitcher
Kleist got the start in the circle for the Oregon Ducks in their Pac-12 matchup against Washington. Tossing 4.1 innings, Kleist finished the game with four strikeouts and four runs allowed in the loss.
Jenna Lilley - Oregon - Senior - Infield
Lilley continued to get on base at the 2018 NCAA WCWS as the senior went 1-for-2 at the plate and walked twice. Scoring once, Lilley and the Ducks await the winner of Georgia vs Florida State to stay alive in the bracket.
Bubba Nickles - UCLA - Sophomore - Outfield
Nickles continued her postseason hit-streak in style as the sophomore went 1-for-2 with a walk, two runs scored and two RBI. Nickles would blast a solo home run in the sixth inning for the go ahead run for UCLA as the upset Florida 6-5.
