JO Cup- Day Four in Five Photos

Day Four of the 2018 Junior Olympic Cup brought out the best in the competitors as Thursday began win or go home play. Check out the best storylines from the day in the five photos below!


St. Louis Chaos- 18U (hit three triples in win over PA Chaos, 8-0)

More than 40 triples were hit in day four of play by all divisions.16-Under knocked the most triples of all three division, hitting 22 on Thursday alone. 

Gametime Stars- 18U (turned 12 double plays so far in JO play)

Out of the 93 double plays in 18U division play, the Gametime Stars- 18U team owns 12 of them-- more than 13 percent of double plays for all 29 competing 18U teams. 

Ohio Outlaws- 14U (hit 2 HR in 14-0 win over Carolina Elite)

Whacking a deep ball out led to wins on day four-- all but one team that hit a home run in Thursday's play would go on to win their competition (when the opposition did not also hit a home run). 


Rock Gold- Waye (shutout Sarasota Heat, 13-0, in second game of play on Thursday before falling 4-2 to the Gametime Stars)

While 16 of Thursday's games resulted in shutout wins, Rock Gold- Waye and Danni Farley own the only one-hitter of Thursday's play. Farley allowed only a single in the bottom of the first inning and then did not allow a single hit throughout the rest of the game. 

Arizona Thundercats- 16U (scored 17 runs against the Lady Gators, winning 17-11)

With the most hits and runs of the day, the Arizona Thundercats knocked in 17 runs against the Lady Gators thanks to four doubles and two triples.
