July 25, 2018, 10:22 p.m. (ET)

Day Three of the 2018 Junior Olympic Cup was full of close games, big swings, and everything in between. The best storylines from the day? Find out in the five pictures below.

Vision FP- 14U (Beat Louisville Lady Sluggers 3-2)

Bracket play brought the best competition out of the teams- 24 games were decided by two or less runs on the third day of play. Defense came out to battle, making big plays to keep their teams in contention.

Carolina Elite- 18U (Beat IN Fusion Elite, 13-4)

Winning games in day three of competition took hot bats-- the winners of 37 of 63 games played today had to score five or more runs to secure their victory.

TN Mojo- 16U (Shutout LA Voodoo, 3-0)

Even with teams' hot bats, some pitchers found a way to shine-- shutting out 22 teams total in all three divisions.

Gold Coast Hurricanes (beat Wagner's 5-0 and Ohio Outlaws, 1-0 to stay undefeated in JO Cup Play)

The fight for the JO Cup has left only five teams undefeated after three days of play. With the first day of bracket competition complete, all 16U teams have suffered a loss, leaving zero teams in the division with a perfect record going into day four of play.

St. Louis Chaos- 18U (beat then undefeated Scrap Yard International, 4-3)

St. Louis Chaos put on a show for their hometown fans, as their 18U team hit a walk-off double with two outs in the bottom of the seventh against then-undefeated Scrap Yard International. The 14U Chaos team held strong with their older counterpart, shutting out Texas Glory- 14U 5-0 and Sarasota Heat, 12-0, while their 16U-Slover beat the Lady Gators 9-2 to end Wednesday's play.
