USA Softball, the National Governing Body of Softball in the United States will host its 86th Annual Meeting at the Sheraton Greensboro at Four Seasons in Greensboro, N.C. from October 20-27. All are welcome to attend. 

Live-streaming information for the General Council Session scheduled for October 22 will be provided at a later date.

Council Members can download the Proposed Code Change Form, Proposed Rule Change Form and the Proxy Request Form below. Only Council Members can submit these forms.

The USA Softball National Council is comprised of over 300 voting members from all aspects of the sport. The National Council, which consists of USA Softball Commissioners, Commissioner Emeritus, Executive Director Emeritus, Council Member Emeritus, Regional Player Representatives, At-Large Player Representatives, Junior Olympic Commissioners, Regional Umpire-In-Chiefs, Allied Members, Elite Athlete Reps, and Past Presidents, are charged with making decisions on legislative changes, rule changes and is responsible for awarding National Championships to host cities across the country.

All changes to the USA Softball Code, Procedural Manual and/or Playing rules are made through a legislative process. The first step to enact code legislation is for a member of the USA Softball Council to submit proposed legislation to amend the USA Softball Code, Procedural Manual and/or Playing Rules. All code and playing rule amendments are then voted on by the USA Softball Council during the meeting.

The USA Softball Annual trade show is scheduled for October 25 from 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Greensboro at Four Seasons, Guilford Ballroom D-G. Check-in for exhibitors will be from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. on October 25. Only 65 booth spaces are available.

Additionally, there are many opportunities for sponsorships for this year’s trade show and for the annual meeting as a whole. Sponsorships at the USA Softball Annual Meeting allow you to connect with our key decision makers. This is your chance to present your product or city to your target market. Official trade show and conference sponsor will be recognized through national office communication, website postings, social media and onsite signage. NATIONAL SOFTBALL HALL OF FAME INDUCTION CEREMONY: CLICK HERE FOR THE LIVE STREAM

The 37th annual National Softball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be held at the Council Meeting on Saturday, October 21. Inductees include Mike Candrea (Tucson, Ariz.) – Meritorious Service, Jimmy Derrick (Douglasville, Ga.) – Umpire, Gary Evans (Mason, Mich.) – Umpire, Dick Gulmon (Valley City, N.D.) – Meritorious Service, Mark Martin (Fayetteville, Ark.) – Slow Pitch Player, Rick Minton (Cerro Gordo, Ill.) – Men’s Fast Pitch Player, Bob Quinn (Branchville, N.J.) – Fast Pitch Player, Willie Simpson (Oak Lawn, Ill.) – Slow Pitch Player and Evans Telegadas (Scottsdale, Ariz.) – Fast Pitch Player.

 

SWING FOR A CAUSE GOLF TOURNAMENT:

This annual event benefits the USA Softball Special Programs and Special Olympics NIT.  Registration is due to Andy Dooley by September 29, 2017. This year's tournament will take place at the Indian Valley Golf Course.
