Rink Hockey Announcement

To: Rink Hockey Players of All Ages

USA RINK HOCKEY NATIONAL TEAM DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM ANNOUNCED FOR 2020.

USA/RS Rink Roller Hockey Committee approved and announces a National Team Development Program (NTDP) for Players of all ages. Under the direction and proposal of Jim Trussell, former National Team Coach, Professional Player, and Olympic Team Athlete, will lead the program to develop players of all ages in each region of the United States. The program will bring needed information and skill-building development that will help players better prepare themselves for international competition for US National Teams. US Rink hockey National Teams compete at World Skate World Championship every 2 years.

The Training program will consist of technical, tactical, and skill-building training for youth, freshman, junior, seniors and ladies divisions. Training Camps will be held on a designated weekend at least one time and location per year in reach region.

Club and Team Coaches will be allowed to attend the training camps free of charge to learn get their coaching level certificates. Players will pay an entry fee for the weekend 2 or 3 day camp of $50.00 to $100.00 depending on the scope of the training camp. All surplus proceeds will go to the USA/rs National Teams Support Fund to aid US National Team travel and training expenses.

Players will be shown basic and advance training and skills to develop in order to ready themselves for the opportunity to compete for a future National Team roster position. Currently local National Team Coaches and Local experienced talent will assist in the training of players. As the program is established, we will seek international coaches from Spain, Italy, Portugal, and Argentina to be assigned to assist in training of players.
