USA Roller Sports has received the following information from World Skate (FIRS) regarding Doping Control requirements for accreditation for World Skate World Championships in 2018:

In addition to the usual team forms, athletes, coaches and team staff must complete and provide the following:

  • A signed World Skate Acknowledgement and Agreement for Doping Control.  This form is to be collected by USA Roller Sports and submitted with the team entry forms for Roller Sports World Championships (or before) so that World Skate staff can create an ongoing record. Obviously, the earlier our sports can get these on file, the more efficient team entry will be when USA teams are finalized.

  • A Certificate of Completion of an Anti-Doping Education Program is required. This can be attained through the World Anti-Doping Association (WADA).  ALPHA is available on the WADA webpage www.wada-ama.orgSign in for certification can be found at  http://alpha.wada-ama.org/login/index.php.

The WADA course will take about two hours to complete and can be taken in several stages.  Progress is saved from one visit to another.

NOTE:  Certificates attained in 2017 will suffice for this requirement for 2018 World Team members and staff.

The US Anti-Doping Association (USADA) website has an online database where users can search for information about the prohibited status of specific medications, based on the current World Anti-Doping Agency Prohibited list.  https://www.usada.org/substances/

All athletes who may qualify for a World Team in 2018 are asked to send their 2017 or 2018 certificate and form to pyoung@usarollersports.org
