Team USA Roller Derby- Coaches and Managers

USA Roller Sports along with the Roller Derby Committee would like to congratulate the following coaches and managers on being selected as the Team USA staff for USARS Roller Derby Team USA which will compete in the 2019 World Roller Games in Barcelona, Spain.

 

Women’s Team USA Head Coach

Devon Tamaccio of Port Orchard, WA

Tamaccio’s Roller Derby career started in 2005 with Rat City in Seattle. She then went on to play for The Oly Rollers and Port T’Orchard.  Tamaccio is a decorated skater: 2009 WFTDA Champion, second place at 2010 WFTDA Championships, second place at 2011 WFTDA Championships, second place at USARS in 2013 and the USARS Champion in 2015. Her family pedigree is steeped in innovation. Tamaccio’s grandfather is Pop Brown, aka Mr. Skate. Pop is known for introducing professional roller skating to Japan, Australia, and Spain, just to name a few countries throughout the globe he has brought the sport to.

 

Women’s Team USA Manager

Carrie Conlee-Craft of Merced, CA

Craft formerly skated with: Stockton's Port City Roller Girls, Merced Rollin and Roulettes, Grim Reaphers and the Suburban Legends USARS roller derby girls all out of Merced from 2007-2013.  She skated in the 2012-2013 USARS nationals and coached at the 2016 USARS Nationals.  Craft has coached teams; Castle Bombers from 2010-2011, the Merced Rollin Roulettes from 2011-2013 and since 2013 has coached California Mayhem Junior Roller Derby Coed. She has two National titles and is currently ranked sixth in the nation.  She has competed in the following USARS disciplines: Speed Skating, Hockey, and Roller Derby. Craft was part of the Beta testing for the USARS Ruleset, she has been a member of the USARS Roller Derby Committee for three years. Carrie is extremely excited to be part of this experience and look forward to an amazing Journey with the skaters, coaches, and fans.

 

Men’s Team USA Head Coach

Misty Greer of Fremont, CA

Greer currently trains and skates with the Silicon Valley Roller girls and is also a member of Team USA. She has an extensive background skating and coaching roller derby over the past 14 years. She skated with the 2004-2008 Rat City Roller Girls, the 2007-2009 Jet City Roller Girls, the 2008-2009 Bay Area Derby Girls, and 2009 to present the Silicon Valley Roller Girls. Greer had skated with the 2014-2016 Team Antagonist, the 2015 Team California and was the 2016 JRDA Southwest All-Stars Coach, from 2014-2017 she was the head coach for the Junior Roller Derby Association and is presently on Team USA.  She has also traveled to Hawaii, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Belgium coaching derby boot camps. In addition to roller derby, Greer is a certified Personal Trainer and Cross fit Level 1 coach.

 

Men’s Team USA Manager

Robyn Clark of Milpitas, CA

Robyn is a current member of The Silicon Valley Roller Girls. She was the First Captain of Port City Roller girls from the inception.  Clark started skating derby in 2006 after 20 years as a competitive figure skater. Clark has worked in technology for 15 years and is currently a Senior Executive Assistant in Engineering in San Jose and entrepreneur in business management.

 

Tamaccio and Craft along with Greer and Clark are looking forward to the upcoming challenges in Spain.

USARS is a non-profit corporation under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code is the National Governing Body for amateur roller sports in the United States under the Amateur Sports Act of 1978. USARS is a member of the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) the premier sports organization for amateur skaters in the United States, and the Federation International de Roller Sports (FIRS), the governing body of roller sports worldwide. FIRS, which is recognized by the International Olympic Committee and the General Assembly of International Sports Federations are comprised of 80 national roller skating federations, in all five continents. USARS is also a member of the Pan American Sports Organization (PASO), which governs the amateur sports of all nations located in the Western Hemisphere.
