Location: Nanjing, China
Arrival in West Coast US City: Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2017 (by 9 a.m. – US Destination City TBA)
Arrival in China: Thursday, Aug. 31, 2017
Official Training: Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017
Competitions: Sunday, Sept. 3, 2017 – Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017
Departure Date to USA: Monday, Sept. 11, 2017

Eligibility: Minimum age is 15 years (born in 2002) as calculated on January 1 in the year of the championships.
Proof of Age/Citizenship: Passport proof of U.S. citizenship is required. Only U.S. citizens are eligible to represent our country at the FIRS World Championships.
Additional Senior Men’s Team Eligibility: Open to eligible male players who in 2016 have competed in national level events sanctioned by USARS (including those co-sponsored by member organizations of USARS).
Team Size: A team consisting of 12 members (including two goalies) will be selected. The USARS Hockey Committee reserves the right to adjust team size as needed.

Departure Date to USA: Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017
Eligibility: Minimum age is 14 years (born in 2003) as calculated on January 1 in the year of the championships. Players must be under 20 years of age. Only players born in 1998-2003 are eligible. NO EXCEPTIONS
Proof of Age/Citizenship: Passport proof of U.S. citizenship is required. Only U.S. citizens are eligible to represent our country at the FIRS World Championships.
Team Size: A team consisting of 12 members (including two goalies) will be selected. The USARS Hockey Committee reserves the right to adjust team size as needed.

Additional Team Information: All participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult for international travel.

Responsibility of World Championship Teams: You will be responsible for the cost of travel from your home airport to the USA Training site, then to the Championship site. The estimated cost is approximately $1,500, plus airfare (excluding Application Fee; Player fees include the USARS Membership). The amount payable to USA Roller Sports will include hotel with three meals daily, on-site ground transportation, travel insurance, Team USA uniforms, Team USA apparel and gifts for the other countries in the competition. Additional apparel and equipment may be provided by sponsors.

Application Fee: $30 must accompany the participation applications.

Deadline for the Receipt of Applications: Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016. Players will be notified of acceptance by Monday, December 19, 2017.

Deposit Due Date: Player has until Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016 to accept and make a $500 deposit to USARS. If a selected player does not make a timely deposit, an alternate player will be contacted immediately and will have 24 hours to accept and make the $500 deposit.

Teams Posted: Teams will be posted to the USARS website by Friday, Dec. 30, 2016

Second Payment Due Date: The second payment of $500 is due to USARS on Friday, Feb. 3, 2017.

Final Payment Due Date: Final payment of $500 must be paid to USARS by Friday, March 3, 2017.

Airline Purchase Date: All players must purchase airline tickets by Friday, May 5, 2017 through USARS travel agent unless approved by USARS Hockey Committee.

Passport Requirements: All players must have a passport valid for at least six months beyond the date of departure from China. A Tourist Visa is required to travel to China.
