The FIRS President Aracu closed the 2016 Inline Hockey World Championships congratulating the LOC on the great organization and the players on the great level of the matches: "These have been the most attended Worlds ever and, for the Finals, the Hodegart Arena was sold out: I am so glad to see how fast the inline hockey movement is growing up and I am sure that the next year Roller Games will confirm this trend. Thanks to all of you coaches, referees, athletes, volunteers for have been here and for all the passion that move you. Thank you and see you in Nanjing!"
Canada conquered the third step of the Junior Ladies podium defeating Finland 4-3. In a very high technical level match, two players have been the main protagonists: the Canadian Emily Oosterveld and the Finnish Miisa Klemola. The first one scored all the four Canadians goal (at 4’07’’ and 17’45’’ of the first time and at 12’34’’ and 17’42’’ of the second) whilst the second one scored the 3 Finnish goals (at 10’43’’ of first time and at 5’55’’ and 18’14’’ of the second time)
The Bronze Medal for Senior Men goes to France that won over USA 2-5 in a tough and nervous match. "Le Bleu" soon started an imposing attack and Gabillet hindered the USA goalie Ducker. The stars and stripes reaction quickly came: at 6'32'', Vaslet found the first goal. Great chance for the USA at 13' thanks to the numerical superiority but they were not able to score: Before the break whistle, Rage tied on Langlois assist. Back from the locker rooms, the climate is quite tense: many penalties took to the 2-2 scored by Petito for USA (1'44'') and Gabillet for France (3'03''). Few minutes later Gabillet scored again ad opened the French run to the Bronze and signing also the next two goals.
It was then the turn of the first "Gold Final" for the Iberian Junior Ladies and the "Azzurrine", leaded by the coaches Ingrao and Mafucci: Spain got the best thanks to a clear headed team. At 00'27'', soon after the starting whistle, the Iberians took the lead with Munuz Delgado who really floored the goalie Biondi. Italy seemed to be out of breath and at the break the score was still 1-0. Spain kept on pushing also in the second time and, after many attacks, scored with Ramos Gonzales ant 5'02'': It was the last goal of the match and Spain conquered a deserved GOLD.
And, last but not the least: The BIG MATCH between Czech Republic and Italy valid for the Senior Men 2016 Gold Medal! A bitter match for the home Country team: it was the Czechs that celebrated for the most craved medal winning 4-0. The first goal have been scored by Bernard at 9'21'' taking advantage by Bersanti in the "sin bench" and the "Azzurri" did not reply. The first time finished 1-0 but, back from the locker rooms, penalty again for Bersanti and goal for Czech Republic, scored by Loskot at 10'21''. Italy suffered the blow and the Czech lenghtened the gap with Fiala at 12'14'' and Loskot again at 10'21''. Italy had to make do with the Silver - as for the Junior Men and Women; Czech Republic confirmed itself as one of the ruling Inline Hockey Nations.
