Giving Games is a multi-sport fundraiser with 21 of the Olympic and Pan American sports national governing bodies participating, including USA Racquetball.

Giving Games came at just the right time to appeal to USA Racquetball members and friends to lend their support through this event. And support us, they did! Have a look at the graphics and links below, and here are some of the facts and components of this inspired fundraiser:

Components of Giving Games

On August 8-9, supporters of all sports came together to help set the World Record for most donations made in 24 hours.

  • The Medal of Giving portion of the fundraiser involved donating directly to a sport. Each sport awarded a Gold, Silver, and Bronze medal to the top three donors (see below). Medal of Giving concluded August 9, but USA Racquetball continues to gratefully accept donations!
  • Anyone who donated to USA Racquetball during the Medal of Giving time period, or anyone who ordered USAR/WOR face coverings, was entered into a drawing to win a Gold Seat at the 2021 US OPEN; or one of 2 free second or third division entries at 3WallBall in Las Vegas; or one of 5 free second division entries at one of five USAR National Championships (winners’ choice) Check out the winners here.

The fun isn’t over yet…

  • Take the Giving Games quiz via BuzzFeed on the Giving Games website to find the sport that best matches you. (Note: It doesn’t always come out “racquetball”!)
  • Sweepstakes Coming! Omaze is partnering with several celebrities (like Serena Williams and Leonardo DiCaprio) to offer 5 amazing sweepstakes packages. The sweepstakes will extend past the Giving Games, lasting between 30-60 days per package, and proceeds will be divided equally to all participating sports’ NGBs.

Much gratitude goes to everyone who has participated in Giving Games! You have warmed our hearts, and we couldn’t be more thankful for your donations and encouragement during these challenging times. Please click here see the list.

We won’t know for a while yet the total benefit to USA Racquetball from Giving Games, but it means the world to us that so many stepped up to assist. We’d also like to give a special shoutout to USAR staff member Renée Isherwood who put in so much time and effort behind the scenes, often burning the midnight oil, to ensure USAR properly leveraged this great opportunity!
