Jackson and Rojas Win Intercollegiate Championships

The 2010 USA Racquetball National Intercollegiate Racquetball Championships presented by Penn Racquet Sports concluded at the Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri. The tournament featured nearly 350 of the best young college racquetball players representing 50 colleges and universities from across the country.

Oregon State University would three-peat as Overall Team Champion, duplicating their '08, '09 championship wins. Colorado State University-Pueblo won the Men's Overall Team title and Oregon State University would also win the Women's Overall Team title again, the women's team won the title last year.

Also up for grabs were one-year appoinments to the USA Racquetball Adult National Team. Winners of the men's and women's singles are named to the National Team that competes and represents Team USA at all international and world competition.

Jose Rojas (Delta College) successfully defended his men's singles title from '09 by defeating Taylor Knoth (University of Oregon), Rojas also went on to win the men's doubles title with partner David Horn (Delta College).

Sharon Jackson (University of Alabama) defeated Michelle Key (University of Arizona) in the women's singles championship match. Jackson, not to be outdone by Rojas in the men's, would also duplicate her performance by winning the women's doubles with partner Kara Mazur (University of Alabama).

The tournament is presented by Head/Penn and sponsored by Ektelon.
