
Colonel John Russell passed away at his home in Texas at noon today, September 30. America's oldest living Olympic medalist was aged 100 years 7 months and 28 days. A decorated WWII combat soldier serving General George Patton's staff. He was a coach and mentor to thousands of athletes over 80 years. A true legend, we have lost a great one.
