Schrimsher brothers repeat 1-2 in Second US Olympic Selection Qualifier

US Army Specialist Nathan Schrimsher won the second US Olympic selection competition Sunday in Colorado Springs, Colorado edging out younger sibling Lucas by only 9 points and third place finisher Brendan Anderson by 11. This was their second 1-2 finish in the top 2 best of 3 meet qualification series with 1 event to go. This virtually assures the brother duo spots on the 4-man roster set to compete in the 2016 World Cup events in order to ultimately qualify for the 2016 Olympic Games.

It was US Army Specialist and 2016 Rio Olympic Games Qualified Nathan Schrimsher winning the second Olympic Qualifier with 1,412 points. His younger brother Lucas was 6 points behind to finish second with Youth Olympian Brendan Anderson capturing third with 1,401 points. In the individual events, it was Ted Lauzen winning the fencing event with 266 points and US Army Specialist Logan Storie dominating the swim in a time of 1:55.78 for 353 points. In the riding event, Nathan, Lucas and Brendan all had perfect 300 point rides; while in the combined event it was Brendan finishing with the fastest run/shoot in a time of 12:20.
