Isabella Isaksen Finishes 17th in Kecskemet World Cup

Kecskemet, Hungary - The Modern Pentathlon World Cup Tour reached its last stop before the final in Sarasota, Florida. In Kecskemet, Hungary, Isabella Isaksen finished 17th while Samantha Achterberg was 27th. Both ladies reached the finals and continued picking up valuable points in the race to qualify for the Rio Olympic Games.

Isabella started out strong with 21 wins and 5th place in the fencing event.She was 27th in swimming and 29th in riding before finishing 15th in the combined event. Samantha started slower with a 33rd place finish in the fencing event. She then picked up points finishing 23rd in swimming, 14th in riding and 12th in the combined event.

Early indications are that Team USA will have 3 women qualified for the World Cup Final to be held in Sarasota, Florida May 5-8. The official invitations to the event which is based on World Cup placing will come out later this week. It is expected that Margaux and Isabella Isaksen along with Samantha Achterberg will be invited from our women's team while Nathan and Lucas Schrimsher will be invited from the men's team,
