Priority status is dependent upon the test candidate having attended the 2-signature events in the year or having applied for and received a waiver for the attendance and attendance at a signature event the prior year.  Candidate must also have a current Safe Sport certification, Background Check, and current USANKF membership.

Priority is determined by the PKF Kata Judge A or Kumite Referee A issue date.  In case of a tie, it is broken based upon USANKF’s policy which is listed below.  Please note that the signature event for the prior year was waived for 2022 due to the significant calendar changes for the events.  The requirement will be returned in 2023.

Tie Breaking Criteria

  • PKF AA officials are considered first
  • Each list is based on the date the candidate received their PKF A license for that list (kata or kumite)
  • In case of licenses on the same date, the date that the candidate earned the National A license for that test (kata or kumite) is the 1st tie breaker
  • If a tie still exists, the date that the candidate earned their NKF AA is considered
  • If a tie still exists, the date that the candidate earned the PKF AA is considered
  • If a tie still exists, the RC shall decide the order
  • Exam failure moves a candidate to bottom of list – given the inconsistencies in how this has been applied historically for this selection the individuals are moved to the bottom for 1 cycle and then they return to their PKF A position on the list.
  • Going forward there will be a requirement to participate in 2 signature events in the year of the candidate wishes to take the course and at least 1 signature event in the year prior to the course.

WKF Eligibility Master List

WKF Eligibility Master List Retesting Candidates 2023

This list is subject to change as Officials receive their PKF licenses or stop testing for WKF. Highlighting indicates maximum license has been obtained.  Not Passing does not mean that the candidate failed the test.  WKF determines how many people it wants to pass at each test.  Anyone ranked below that number, regardless of test scores, does not pass.
