2014 Senior World Championships

Colorado Springs, CO- This past week members of the USA Karate Senior National Team traveled to Bermen, Germany to compete in the 2014 Senior World Championships. The 14 member athlete roster included Cheryl Murphy, Tom Scott, and Maya Wasowicz. National coaches Tokey Hill, Akira Fukuda, Tommy Hood, Brian Mertel, and Shannon Nishi accompanied the team along with team lead, Brody Burns. 

The USA team competed against teams from 64 different countries. Full results for all athletes can be found hereThis year marked a milestone for the World Karate Federation. We were proud to have been able to send 3 athletes and their coach to compete in the first ever World Karate Championships for Persons with Disabilities. The team members included Sabhudin Trici, Kiel Moses, and Kevin Kucbor along with Coach Joff Kohn.
