USA Judo claims one bronze and two 7th place finishes at the 2018 Asian Open in Hong Kong.

After a tough first loss to Akihito Suda of Japan, L.A. Smith (-100kg) was able to turn the day around. In Repechage, he won his second match by ippon over Radek Hecl of the Czech Republic in just 51 seconds; and in the Bronze medal match he faced Tevita Takayawa of Fiji and won by ippon, securing his 3rd place finish an earning himself a medal on the day. Great work. L.A.! 

The 2018 IJF Tour will wrap-up on December 16 at the World Masters in Guangzhou, China.
The Tel Aviv Grand Prix will kick-off the 2019 tour as the first tournament on January 25-27.
