Michael Cartwright O'Hare

August 26, 1959 - November 30, 2018

Michael Cartwright O'Hare passed away suddenly on November 30, 2018 at the age of 59 in Phoenix, AZ. His daughter Anna was with him and told him that his family loved him.

Michael was born in Detroit, Michigan and lived in the Detroit area for most of his life. He moved with his family to the Phoenix, AZ area 10 years ago and built a life for his family there.

As a young man, Michael was an Olympic hopeful in the sport of Judo, which played a significant role in his life. He trained in Japan for several months, which helped him build a strong Judo family. He remained passionate about Judo even in his later years.

He attended Oakland University alongside his loving sister, Laura, and then received an MBA from Walsh College. He worked at Beaumont Health System (Michigan), Banner Health (Arizona), and Maricopa County Health System (Arizona). He was a loving father and mentor to many, as well as a good and loyal friend to many friends he knew and loved for many years.

Michael is survived by his mother, Dorothy O'Hare, sister Laura (O'Hare) Mize, sons Connor and Keegan, and his daughter, Anna.

A Celebration of Life luncheon will be held on Saturday, December 8 at 11 am at Farina's Banquet Center, 2485 Coolidge Hwy, Berkley, MI 48072 Phone: (248) 546-7800. All are welcome to attend and share a memory about Mike.
