The Wahadachi Judo Club is one of the premier Judo Clubs with many experienced Blackbelts on the mat ranging from 20 to 50 years of training. The club was founded by James Peterson in 1985 at Hadfield elementary until it relocated to Milwaukee in 1988.

Wahadachi is committed to Judoka development and contributing to their community by offering programs that cater to all skill levels and interest. Each year, Wahadachi hosts clinics with top Judoka such as Kayla Harrison, Marti Malloy, Nick Delpopolo, Hannah Martin, 6/3/17 and Neil Adams, 7/22-23/17 to name a few.

The Wahadachi Judo Club has had many Junior, Senior and Veteran National and International Champions through the years.


The instructors are:

James Peterson – The head coach and founder of Wahadachi Judo Club. The 7th degree black belt is currently a USA certified International A level coach and has over 50-years of judo experience.

Randy Baures – A USA certified International level coach and 6th degree black belt. With 40-years of judo experience, Randy has become a World Masters bronze medalist, a National Masters gold medalist, and a two-time North American Masters champion. He is also a retired Firefighter/EMT certified in advanced cardiac life support as well as basic trauma life support.

Kathy Huff – Started judo in 1976 with Neal Rosenberg. Kathy is now a 4th Dan with over 40-years of judo experience. She is currently studying kata under Sensei Eiko Shephard.

Henry Hummel – A USA Judo National level coach and 3rd degree black belt. Henry has been studying judo since 1975.

Erin Caves – USA Judo certified National level coach and 2015 US Nationals M3 -66kg silver medalist. Erin is a 3rd Dan with 30 years of judo experience.

Dale Krull - 1st Dan with over 20 years of experience.
