According to the latest IJF calendar, the 2021 Senior Pan American Championships will now be held in Cordova, Argentina April 16-18, 2021. The team will consist of 9 male athletes and 9 female athletes for a total of 18 athletes. The team will be named from the IJF Olympic Ranking List (ORL) including results through Monday, March 29, 2021.The 9 highest ranking male athletes and the 9 highest ranking female athletes on the ORL will be named to the team. The ranking will be based on IJF Olympic Ranking List points, not on ORL position.

There will be a maximum of 2 athletes in any single weight category. In the event that a category has already been filled by 2 athletes, no other athletes may be considered for that category, unless there is a subsequent withdrawal from one of the two occupied slots. In the case of such a withdrawal, the next eligible person on IJF Olympic Ranking List, according to ORL points, will be selected to the team providing their weight division has unfilled slots. This will continue until all 9 slots are filled for both men and women.

These athletes will be named to the 2021 Senior Pan American Championships Team.

The above criteria is based on the current IJF eligibility rules. If the IJF changes eligibility rules, USA Judo reserves the right to modify the 2021 Senior Pan American Championships Team criteria.
