Region 9 Administrative Manager: Jill Dixon

A native of Ann Arbor, Mich., Jill Dixon has over 11 years of Division III collegiate coaching experience and has served in a variety of roles with USA Field Hockey since 2012. As a Futures participant in the early 2000s, Jill continued her academic and athletic career at Randolph-Macon College where she was a four-year starter for the Yellow Jackets. In 2009, Jill completed her Bachelor of Science double major in Mathematics and Biology. She began her collegiate coaching career the following fall and joined USA Field Hockey in 2012 as a Futures Coach in the Great Lakes Region. Her service with USA Field Hockey moved with her college coaching roles and Jill served as a coach and then site director in Delaware while she completed her Master’s in Sport Leadership at Wesley College. Most recently, Jill returned to the Great Lakes Region as a Nexus coach. Jill resides in Wooster, Ohio, with her family, where she currently serves as the Head Field Hockey Coach at The College of Wooster.

Region 9 Coach Manager: Val Lohr

Lohr joins the Nexus Staff from St. Mary's Hall in San Antonio, Texas, where she is the coordinator of Student Well-Being and head coach of the varsity field hockey team. For USA Field Hockey, she has been a Regional Head Coach and Selector and the National Futures/Nexus Championship head coach. Before Allegheny, she coached and served in administrative roles in several college and independent school programs, including launching the field hockey program at Pace University. Lohr played both field hockey and lacrosse at Lehigh University and began her coaching career after graduation. She spent four years at Dickinson College, serving as an assistant for both the Red Devils' field hockey and women's lacrosse programs, and was named to the Dickinson College Hall of Fame as a coach.

Region 10: Central covers 12 states and vast geographic area including Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas and Wisconsin. As field hockey continues to develop and grow in this region, more training sites will be added to minimize travel for Nexus participants.
