GLASGOW, Scotland – The No. 22 U.S. Men’s National Team will head to Scotland for a 4-Nations Tournament at the end of June to compete against No. 13 Ireland, No. 17 Wales and No. 20 Scotland. Being held from June 29 to July 3 at the Uddingston Hockey Club in Glasgow, Scotland, USA will face each team once before a round of crossovers.
“The squad selected for this event is a good mix of experienced senior and emerging younger players,” said Harry Singh, USMNT’s Head Coach. “For some, this will be their first time with the senior team on an international tour. The Scotland tour and 4-Nations Tournament will provide an opportunity to showcase our progress to lead to the 2023 Pan American Games. I am looking for more depth in the team and an opportunity to gauge ourselves against highly competitive teams which we will face during the competition.”
The traveling roster selected has a mix of veteran talent along with some athletes from the development and junior teams. Leading the squad with expertise and a high number of international caps is Pat Harris (Moorpark, Calif.)(156), Ajai Dhadwal (Agoura Hills, Calif.)(127) and Mohan Gandhi (Great Britain)(107). Four athletes from the Junior USMNT will be looking to earn their first senior international caps. Those are Mehtab Grewal (Somis, Calif.), Wyatt Katz (Santa Rosa Valley, Calif.), Marius Leser (Mannheim, Germany) and Finlay Quaile (Castle Cary, U.K.). From this traveling roster, a squad of 18-athletes will be selected to compete.
