Old Dominion Athletic Conference Releases Schedules for Fall Sports Competition in the Spring Semester

FOREST, Va. - November 19, 2020 - On Tuesday, November 17, the ODAC announced its intention to conduct fall and winter sports in the spring semester. That process continues today with the release of schedules for several of its fall sports.

Schedule frameworks for field hockey, men's soccer, women's soccer, and women's volleyball have been finalized and communicated. Each will conduct a competitive regular season conference schedule followed by an ODAC Tournament to crown this season's champion. Additional fall schedules for football and men's and women's cross country are being finalized and will be announced when work is complete.

"We are pleased to be able to release these schedules today, further emphasizing our intent to compete fall sports this spring," explained ODAC Commissioner Brad Bankston. "Conference leadership, especially the Board of Directors and its scheduling working group, put in countless hours in developing a format that returns a season of competition to these student-athletes. Conference leadership will continue to monitor the health and safety recommendations regarding the COVID-19 pandemic as we progress towards competition."

Below is a brief description of the schedules for each sport as well as link to its default structure. For all schedules, dates can be adjusted as necessary and should be considered subject to change.

Each ODAC field hockey team will complete a nine-game league schedule with Sweet Briar College rejoining the conference ranks for the 2021 spring season. Regular season play will begin on Friday, March 5 and continue thru Friday, April 9. The top four seeds will compete in the ODAC Tournament. The semifinals are slated for Wednesday, April 14, followed by the championship on Saturday, April 17.
