Recreation & Athletics
Mount Holyoke will not be participating in varsity sports in the fall 2020 semester. The school will continue to hope that competitive sports will resume in the spring semester, and will continue discussions with NEWMAC to explore all opportunities.
Club sports are also canceled in the fall. Students living on campus will, however, have access to other recreational opportunities and also to Kendall, including the gym (state guidelines permitting), though that access may be more limited than usual. Health, safety and distancing protocols will be strictly enforced.
Equestrian programs: We are still working through the many details related to fall athletics and recreation and will share more information as soon as it is available.
“Although we are heartbroken by the loss of fall contests, the health and safety of our community continue to be at the forefront of the College’s decision making," said Lori Hendricks, Director of Athletics. "We are exploring the possibility of conducting fall practice sessions and will continue in our planning to return to our competitive conference schedule in the spring semester should conditions improve.”
