Northern Transplants are Coming to Nashville and They're Bringing Field Hockey with Them

Field hockey had always been more than a competitive outlet for AllianceBernstein executive Karl Sprules. It had served as a gateway to friendship and community, both in the U.K. and in the U.S. 

For Brentwood teenager Olivia Padden, the sport connected her to other girls her age, and became her primary athletic focus.

When each moved to the Nashville area - Sprules helped move AllianceBernstein's headquarters from New York to Nashville in 2018, and Padden moved from Boston in 2016 when her father took an executive position at Genesco - they longed for the field hockey community they enjoyed in the Northeast.

So, they helped grow one here.
