Registration for 2020 Disney Field Hockey Showcase Opens June 19

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - May 29, 2019– Registration for the 2020 Disney Field Hockey Showcase, which will be held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort, begins Wednesday, June 19 at 12:00 p.m. ET.

All team registrations will be conducted online or by phone through Disney Sports. A link will be provided to the official event website at a later date, but should teams have questions regarding the registration process, they should contact Disney Field Hockey at (407) 938-3806.

The 2020 Disney Field House Showcase will run January 31 through February 2 and will offer the following age divisions:

  • U-12 Co-Ed (7v7)
  • U-14 Girls (7v7)
  • U-14 Girls (11v11)
  • U-16 Girls (11v11)
  • U-19 Girls (11v11)

The Disney Field Hockey Showcase, a USA Field Hockey sanctioned event, attracts the top youth players in the nation, along with more than 100 of the top collegiate coaches and recruiters who come to Disney to recruit the best players in the country.

Disney and USA Field Hockey have witnessed the continued growth and expansion of the event, which began 13 years ago with 56 teams. The event attracted more than 2,200 athletes for the 2019 tournament and more than 2,500 are expected to attend the 2020 event.

The Disney Field Hockey Showcase is one of several elite youth sports events at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, one of the premier sites for amateur sports in the nation. The sports complex hosts more than 100 entertainment and sporting events each year and has accommodated 70 different sports featuring athletes from 70 different countries since opening its doors in 1997. 

ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex is the host site for AAU National Championships in basketball, volleyball and track and field, the Pop Warner Super Bowl, Disney Soccer Showcase, Summit All-Star Championships (dance and cheer) and the Jr. NBA Global Championships.
