Second Edition of All-Boys U-16 7v7 Tournament to be Hosted in Charlotte, N.C. on June 29-30

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – June 12, 2019 – After the success of the All-Boys U-16 7v7 tournament in Greenwich, Conn. last month, the men’s East Coast High Performance (ECHP) program, in conjunction with Charlotte Ambush FHC, will be hosting a second weekend of All-Boys 7v7 competition in hopes to continue to expand male playing opportunities.

Taking place at the Bessant Field in Charlotte, N.C. on Saturday, June 29 and Sunday, June 30, this tournament will feature athletes traveling from all over the country including the states of Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia and even Bermuda.

The purpose of this event is to bridge the gap for boys between the U-12 Co-Ed division and those over 16 years of age playing in the men’s adult league. The ultimate goal is to have a league of regularly scheduled games so more boys can continue to gain more playing opportunities all year round all while having fun.

Match format during this 7v7, two-day event will be a round robin format with 20-minute games.

In addition to the games, there will be two all-boys clinics lead by Alex Grassi, U.S. Men’s National Team Athlete, and Francisco Avila, Argentina Junior Men’s National Team Athlete.

Friday, June 28
6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. (optional) Clinic with Alex Grassi and Francisco Avila

Saturday, June 29
Morning 2 to 3-hour clinic with Alex Grassi and Francisco Avila

Afternoon All-Boys U-16 Tournament (7v7)

Sunday, June 30
Morning All-Boys U-16 Tournament (7v7)
Depart at Lunchtime

The cost per player to participate in the guaranteed two-day event is $99.00 The cost for a team of seven (or more) athletes is $400.00.
