Pam Stuper to be USA Field Hockey Summit Welcome Reception Speaker

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - January 4, 2019 - USA Field Hockey is pleased to announce Pam Stuper, Chairperson of the U.S. Field Hockey Foundation and Caroline Ruth Thompson '02 Head Coach of Field Hockey at Yale University, will be the welcome reception speaker at the 2019 USA Field Hockey Summit, presented by AstroTurf. Summit will be held March 15-17 at the Lord Baltimore Hotel in Baltimore and will welcome administrators, coaches, umpires and sponsors for a weekend of education, networking, collaboration and fun. Stuper is a force in the field hockey world with a long list of accolades for her playing and coaching achievements, as well as her service to the sport off the field. Stuper was inducted into the USA Field Hockey Hall of Fame in 2004 and was a member of the U.S. Women's National Team that won bronze at the 1994 World Cup. She has led Yale since 2005, amassing 105 victories, the most in program history, and led them to the 2011 Ivy League Championship, the school’s first since 1980. She is a longtime U.S. Women's Masters Team athlete, having recently represented USA in Spain in 2018, and served on the Executive Board of the International Hockey Federation (FIH) from 2010-2018. She is also a member of the Old Dominion University Hall of Fame, having won three national championship titles as a Monarch. Stuper was also a collegiate two-time All-American and an Academic All-American.
