Double the Fun: NIT Action this Weekend in Pennsylvania and Virginia

LANCASTER, Pa. – February 20, 2018 – After opening last weekend with the U-14 Girls division, the 2019 Sheetz National Indoor Tournament (NIT), presented by YOLO Sportswear, continues this weekend across two states. At Spooky Nook Sports in Lancaster, Pa. is the U-10/U-12 Co-Ed divisions, while the U-19 Boys, U-19 Girls and Adult divisions will get underway at the Greater Richmond Convention Center (GRCC) in Richmond, Va. Both NIT locations will be playing from Friday, February 22 through Sunday, February 24, 2019.

Double the actions means double attention, and once again USA Field Hockey has made it as easy as possible for every field hockey enthusiast to have all NIT action in the palm of their hand. Stay up-to-date with everything happening this weekend with the following information.

Explore Richmond Between Matches With Complementary Trolley Shuttle
With time to kill between games, USA Field Hockey and Visit Richmond have teamed up to provide a free trolley shuttle to take fans and families to nearby attractions, dining and shopping options. The shuttle will run Saturday, February 23 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET The route will run from the GRCC to the Science Museum of Virginia, Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA) and Carytown before returning to the GRCC.

 

Science Museum: the Science Museum of Virginia has three floors of interactive exhibits and experiences waiting to fill your day with science wonder. Check out the exhibits to see if you’re faster than a rat or have great balance. Maybe stop by the Dome to take a trip to Africa or the stars! Virginia Museum of Fine Arts: an art museum which opened in 1936, VMFA is a top comprehensive United States art museum with more than 5,000 years of art from around the world.
