TAMPA, Fla. – December 4, 2019 – The 39th annual National Hockey Festival presented by CranBarry, hosted at the Tournament Sportsplex of Tampa Bay drew to a close on Saturday, November 30 as 148 teams played their final games.
“A huge thank you to everyone who was involved in the 2019 National Hockey Festival in Tampa,” said Simon Hoskins, USA Field Hockey's Executive Director. “It was fulfilling to see so many enjoy a wonderful field hockey experience in an all new venue.”
Beginning on Thanksgiving, November 28, the brand new, state-of-the-art complex debuted its first field hockey tournament, featuring 18 Celebration Burmudagrass fields. The event also hosted an all-male clinic and All-Boys U-17 7v7 Tournament, USA Field Hockey’s Annual General Meeting and meet and greet sessions with U.S. Women’s National Indoor Team athlete Allison Fuller.
Also in attendance were more than 90 college coaches from Division I, II and III schools observing the talents of more than 2,000 competing athletes.
