USA Field Hockey Now Accepting Bids to Host National Indoor Tournament Qualifiers

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - April 4, 2019 – The spring calendar is in full swing, but it is never too early to start preparing for the 2020 indoor season! With that, USA Field Hockey is now accepting applications for hosts for the 2020 U-16 and U-19 Girls Sheetz National Indoor Tournament Qualifiers (NITQ), presented by YOLO Sportswear, and looking forward to another solid year of indoor programming. Bids to host the NITQ will be accepted through Friday, May 3. After the submission deadline, USA Field Hockey will formally review all submitted bids and will plan to announce host sites for the 2020 National Indoor Tournament Qualifiers by Friday, May 31.

During the 2019 season, USA Field Hockey worked with 12 different hosts to facilitate 18 NITQ events in both the U-16 and U-19 Girls age divisions, totaling 36 total tournaments. These events provided an opportunity for more than 570 teams from clubs across the country, with 288 teams qualifying for the Sheetz National Indoor Tournament, presented by YOLO Sportswear.
